The old Jaya Supermarket was built in 1974. Kuala Lumpur folks had Ampang Park and Petaling Jaya had Jaya. It served as the neighbourhood supermarket for those staying in section 14 and in Petaling Jaya. The 4 storey retail units had a distinctive facade design that looked like sunglasses.
